theBURN runs from September- July

Tuition |
|
The base tuition for theBURN is $5200 plus a $200 non-refundable registration free. Tuition covers the following:
Books
Housing
Meals
Ministry Trips
Week-end Retreats
Yearly Events and Activities
*The above fees do not include the cost of a missions trip. Students will be given opportunities to fundraise while at theBURN for that trip.

Housing |
|
Students live in dorm style housing. Each student will receive a small dresser and a twin bed. Kitchen and laundry facilities will be available for student use. Students will be required to clean and maintain their living area. |
Vehicle |
|
While it is not necessary for students to provide their own transportation, personal vehicles are recommended. Proof of insurance is required and students will be responsible for all maintenance and fuel for their vehicle. Bikes are recommended for those who do not have access to a vehicle. |
Meals |
|
All meals will be provided as part of theBURN. Students will receive a grocery allowance and will be expected to work with their dorm mates in planning and preparing meals. Meals during scheduled breaks and all snacks will be the responsibility of the student. |
Health
Insurance
|
|
All students must maintain a current health insurance policy which also provides coverage for travel outside the United States. A letter providing proof of enrollment in theBURN will be available to the student upon request. |
Jobs |
|
There will be occasional opportunities to earn extra money but students will not be allowed to work outside of theBURN |
Age
Requirements
|
|
Students must have graduated from high school and be 17 - 25 year old. |
Dating |
|
theBURN is your opportunity to set aside one year of your life to focus on your relationship with God. While you will take part in plenty of group activities, there will be no dating during your time at theBURN. |
Class |
|
Students will be attending class four days a week- Monday evenings and Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.
*Students are responsible for school supplies. (Notebooks, pen, pencils, etc.) |
Assignments |
|
You’ll receive challenges and assignments that will help you really understand what you have learned. This isn’t high school though. Homework will include everything from researching topics and answering essay questions to observing people and situations and applying those observations to your own life. |
Physical Requirements |
|
Plan on getting in shape! theBURN is an active program and students should be able to participate in activities requiring them to walk, run, hike, bicycle, canoe, swim, rake, shovel, and push or carry at least 30lbs. Exceptions may be made by theBURN leadership depending on the situation.

Travel |
|
Bring your luggage and your camera because as part of theBURN you’ll be on the road. From ministry and missionary trips to recreational retreats it’s the time you spend traveling that will create a scrapbook of memories.

Recreation |
|
Everyone need to crash for an hour or two, and several afternoon a week you’ll have free time without schedules or classes. Students will be able to do homework, laundry, and just relax.

Retreats
|
|
Sometimes retreating from the world is facing yourself and encountering God through times of prayer, fasting and intimate worship. Retreats allow you to strip away distractions and develop a deep and enduring relationship with the Lord.
|
Reflection |
|
As a part of theBURN you will spend time alone with God, reflecting on what you have learned and experienced. Quiet moments with a bible and your journal will become part of your everyday life.

Renovation
Events |
|
Whether climbing a mountain or going white-water rafting, students will gain real life experiences through various types of challenges and adventures as they take part in our Renovation Events.
