What to Expect

Every student that comes to theBURN will spend 10 months in Shell Lake, WI at Shell Lake Full Gospel Church. They will be immersed in physical and spiritual disciplines. Through classes four days a week, students will be trained in personal character and ethics, apologetics, financial management and budgeting, relationships, absolute truth, and integrity. Students will also gain experience working and ministering in the local church as well as throughout the community.

 Students living as part of theBURN, will gain practical life experience in daily living, with grocery shopping, meal planning and household chores. Students experience the challenges and freedom of living on their own, without many of the distractions and stumbling blocks that college can present. Students at theBURN will be encouraged to find what they are passionate about, all the while learning to become servants, learning to see the needs of others.

At theBURN students will encounter God. They will learn to read the Word with new eyes as they study under experienced teachers who will know them by name. Students will be challenged in ways they can’t imagine, while developing friendships that will last a lifetime.
